I am a Black Afro Caribbean mother of 2 small children. I am also neuro-divergent, with an invisible disability.
I am an abolitionist educator and universal design for learning expert with more than 20 years’ experience working as a teacher and in the field of educational justice and policy and with children and families with disabilities both in the United States and in other countries. I am also an adjunct professor in special education, child development and education.
More importantly I know what it is to be that student that struggles in school due to neuro-diversity, anxiety, white supremacy and racism. This is why I am so determined to not let another child be hurt by an ableist or racist school system.
I believe in building an educational system where ALL of our children can thrive! Join me!
